At the Car Surgery we only fit “Genuine Parts” or OEM parts.

Please let me explain the reason for the Policy.



GENUINE PART— These parts come direct from the vehicle manufactures official parts departments. In essence, these are the same parts that were or are used when the vehicle is assembled on the production line. When a vehicle is still under manufactures warranty then all parts that are replaced should be genuine only.

OE – short for Original Equipment. A specific part has either come straight from the manufacturer or is branded with the manufacturer’s logo.

OEM – stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer- at one time or another this parts manufacturer has supplied parts to the car company for that vehicle.

The combination of a professional repair and quality o/e parts will always equal trouble free motoring. The modern motor car is a very complex machine. It is   inevitable that at some stage it will need repairing or servicing. Fitting O/E parts is the only way forward in reducing vehicle down time and ensuring reliability.



The saying “ you get what you pay for “ is a perfect example of O/E parts verses Aftermarket parts.



The main stream of Aftermarket parts are Not manufactured to the O/E specification. Some are counterfeit part manufacturers, who will use any means to obtain car manufacturer specifications and create parts which are always of inferior   quality, in a bid to keep costs down
